Helping During COVID-19

  • Leading and managing the Covid-19 Stoneham Mutual Aid Hub chapter via the Mutual Aid Hub website.
    • Goals:
      • Provide valuable information to people during Covid-19 times
      • Provide help to people in need by connecting them with volunteers that are ready to provide help
    • Connected people via a Request\Offer Help Form that people can fill to request for help in activities such as delivering groceries and prescriptions, pet sitting, providing transportation, and preparing meals. Other people can also use the form to volunteer to do the activities for people who asked for help.
    • Matched the requests appropriately to get help for people in need
  • Started a fundraiser in GoFundMe
    • Raised more than $1000 dollars
    • Used $300 to buy Walgreens Gift Cards for the Stoneham Senior Center so the money can be used for co-payments of prescriptions etc.
    • Used $250 to buy Stop & Shop gift cards for the food pantry at the First Congressional Church so that they can use it to buy more food and other supplies
    • Used $500 to buy Thanksgiving platters and give it during Thanksgiving 2020 to Seniors who came to Stoneham Senior Center.
  • Created many best wishes cards and mailed them to 48 life care centers across 28 states in the USA to assure the Senior Citizens that they are not alone in these times, especially when they had no visitors.
