During College

  • Study Break Chair: Building Community Through Creative, Inclusive Event Planning (February 2023 – December 2023)
    • Co-organized creative and inclusive events, such as s’mores nights and mocktail sessions, to foster community at MIT.
    • Contributed to brainstorming, logistics, and publicity, gaining experience in creating engaging and welcoming spaces that encourage meaningful connections.
    • This role enhanced my leadership and event planning skills while building lasting friendships and a sense of belonging.
  • Associate Advisor: Helping First-Year Students Transition, Feel Secure, and Navigate College Life (September 2023 – Present)
    • Guided first-year students through class registration, resource navigation, and academic planning.
    • Organized outings such as museum visits and group meals to support their transition to college life.
    • This role enhanced my advising, teamwork, and problem-solving skills while fostering a sense of security and care for students in their new environment.
    • Got outstanding associate advisor for September 2023 award.
  • i3 Movie Chair for Dorm Culture Video at McCormick Hall (February 2024 – May 2024)
    • Co-created a video to showcase my dorm culture and common areas, introducing newly admitted students to the vibrant community and shared spaces.
    • I enjoyed capturing the essence of community life and refining my skills in storytelling, visual composition, and collaborative content creation.
  • Facilitator at ESG for Creativity and Community Building (Feb 2024-Present)
    • Led a project in the Experimental Study Group (ESG) to create a collaborative mosaic for the common room. Each participant decorated a piece of cardboard to represent themselves non-academically, fostering creativity and community.
    • The initiative encouraged personal expression and collective contribution to a shared artwork for the group space.
  • IAP Chair (Jan 2024)
    • Organized community-building events, including a potluck and movie night, during IAP to foster connection and camaraderie among participants.

During Middle School and High School

  • Student Council – (September 2020 – June 2021)
    • Helped organize a winter holiday fundraiser
    • Provided input for the new school building
  • Video for Seniors – (June 2020)
    • Conceived, led, and created the “Drive down the memory lane” video with 3 more students since the seniors could not have a formal prom and graduation due to COVID-19
    • The video is a high school remembrance for seniors and has pictures shared from all high school students
    • Grouped pictures into categories and picked songs with my team
    • Used iMovie to create the video with my team
    • The video was shared through the school website, email, and an all-school community blackboard message
  • Founder of Board Game Club – (September 2018 – March 2020)
    • Conceived and started a board game club that focuses on the elements of board games and designing new variations of the games to foster a “think outside the box” approach.
    • Started the club because I always loved board games and I wanted to share my interest with others. It also gave me an opportunity for making new friends.
    • Attracted high school peers with attractive flyers and a presentation that share the club details.
  • Vice President of Sophomore Class – (September 2018 – June 2019)
    • Participated in and created a presentation for the class act in the annual carnival ball show
    • Decided on the class Halloween theme
    • Organized and sold tickets for the semi-formal dance
    • Sold popcorn in a school’s sports event
  • Speech on Disability – (April 2019)
    • Gave speech to the entire school on the challenges with disabilities, and at the same time, help them recognize and appreciate the capabilities that people have even with their disabilities
    • Encouraged them to be more welcoming to people with disabilities and include them in their conversations.

      • Helped find and create appropriate sound effects when they were needed to enhance the play

      • Participated in IMLEM Math competitions and helped my team earn first place a few times
